I Travel with My Violin - My Most Beautiful Souvenirs from Around the World ✈️
Some people bring back magnets, postcards, or hundreds of photos from their travels. I usually bring back… music.

Ever since the violin became such a big part of my life, I started taking it with me on my travels as well. And today, I know that the recordings I make with my violin in different corners of the world are some of the most beautiful souvenirs I could have.

It’s not even about creating the perfect video. Sometimes all I need is a few minutes, a beautiful place, my violin, and a piece of music I simply feel like playing.
When I come back to these recordings months or even years later, I remember more than just the place. I remember the weather, the smell of the air, the people I was with, and the emotions I felt at that exact moment. And suddenly, one melody can take me right back there.
Traveling with a violin sometimes requires a little more planning. You have to think about transporting the instrument, finding the right place to record, bringing the necessary equipment, and sometimes simply finding a quiet moment in the middle of all the travel chaos.
Instead of simply looking at a place, I start looking for something that will connect with the music. A beautiful view, a unique street, a beach, a mountain, a city at sunset…
And suddenly, travelling becomes more than just sightseeing. It becomes a story I can tell through music.
The best souvenirs can’t always be bought.
Years from now, photos might get lost somewhere in my phone gallery, and travel souvenirs might end up forgotten at the bottom of a drawer.
But when I hear the first notes of a song I recorded in a particular place, everything comes back.
That’s why my violin travels with me more and more often. Because I don’t think there’s a better souvenir than one that allows you not only to see a memory, but to feel it all over again.
What about you? What is your most precious souvenir from travelling? For me, it’s definitely the places, the emotions… and the music.
